If a religion thread added I still think there would be some peeps who troll the religion thread and makes trouble which would carry over into the other threads as another war......with people taking sides along religious view.

Or even religious folk fighting among themselves about topics and carrying it over to other threads.......these folk don't know how to restrain themselves from comment.

Let us not forget the 'religious leader types' who use other members to do thier dirty works for them. Some religious folk are easily swayed- manipulated by those who pretend to be God. Then they get burned or banned for that false God. I think we have had a bushellful of this already.

What I mean is someone could use the religion thread to build a congragation to follow them around TD and do thier bidding.

  Do we really need this?

Baaaa baaaa....

I think they created a website for those lost souls to be shepherded by one of those leader types. I am not sure if this website still exists.

I am not against religion, ever though I am not a follower. I think there should be a place for those people to discuss their views. Blogs are fine for some of the inspirational messages, but they do not promote much feedback. I would like to see a topic area for them. Makes for fascinating reading. Religion is the source of so many conflicts, but also the source of some great ideas.

Along these lines, I worked with a non-religious man that decided to read the Bible purely for the experience. I asked him for his impression when he finished. He said it was very dry to read. I asked him if he would be interested in going to war to fight for this book's teachings and principals. He said he could not understand why anyone would do that.

Guess that is all I got. Maybe they will create a topic area for this. I know there would be many posts there, but also many fights and anger and disagreements. Maybe easier to just avoid it altogether? But again, I would like to see it offered, perhaps on a trial basis.

Agreed. The purpose of these MBs and forums is to exchange ideas and viewpoints. It does not mean we all need to agree. I have disagreed with you numerous times, but I still respect you and your ability to express yourself. We can all learn from each other. Even with a moderator, there will be problems, but I enjoy a good debate.
