Believe this has been discussed before here at TD....I received this from a friend in N.C......she said..."I would be embarrassed if it happened to me"!.....

I replied:...."Never, ever be embarrassed because you are deaf!".....And if you are told, "you have to go inside to order"...I would refuse to do so....

At times, a fast food place (late at night) is closed for inside service, so all people have to use the take out window......and having your order written down before you arrive at the take out window is a Deafies only way to receive service! (If they have no speech).And if there is no machine where you can type in your order.....some cities do have this, I have not seen one in Jacksonville, Fla. yet!
