It's SPAM. Try running SpyBot Search and Destroy. Thats the advice I received from a comp tech friend of mine.

What I found out was that it was a "drive-by" Trojan. Nothing was clicked, but just viewing a page triggered a download of the program. It is a fake AntiVirus malware program. It can avoid detection. I found a couple of links:

Had this problem last year...these fake anti-virus programs pop up....making you think you've got a virus and ur computer is at risk, etc., etc.!...enuf to drive you insane! And no matter what I did, could not get rid of 'em! So I called a friend of mine (he's a 'puter expert)...and told me that it's all fake....."they just want ur $$$$$)!!!"....He took my computer to his shop and fixed it, as I'm not an expert!....I've not had any problems at all since then and I've got a new computer now...no anti-virus mo'Fo's pop-up on me....not yet!

Thks for the link, Spel!...I'll refer to it if needed.....

Some bad web sites are automatically download when you view the web page without you know. I have some program ( I don't remember what is called) to warn me to not going to that web site with Are you sure you want to view that page with Yes or No buttons pop up windows. I often clicked No. I don't think it hasn't hit my hard drive on this computer. Yes on my old computer. I was too stupid and curious everything. LOL. Now I am aware there are some bad web sites I shouldn't visiting so I have to be careful what I am doing.
