Ever notice when you ask a teenager..."what's up"? And they ALWAYS say "nothing".......Trying to start "a little conversation" with my boys always starts this way!..."How's school? ...."Same ol'"....
Some adults are the same way...but with teenagers it's worse!....Seems it takes telling them about YOUR day...before they will even open up to talk!...And it's becuz they don't want to HEAR about ur day! HAHA!....So they head for the refrigerator for something to eat and drink....
I get up, follow them around.... talking....finally getting a "Oh, really"?.....(as if that was the "dumbest" thing they ever heard!)
So...it goes from "1 word of "nothing" to 2 words, "same ol" & "Oh, really?"....to 3 words of "What's for dinner?"
So I "keep on talking"!...Got "3 words so far"!...Lucky me if I do get a full sentence before they're out the door to play football!
