Subject: Help needed on Deaf Education topic
Content: I could use your help please in doing research for a college course. My paper is 'Accommodating Deaf Students in a Technology Education Classroom.' My major is Technology Education (Tech Ed) which used to be called Industrial Arts. Deaf schools call it Vocational Education. What I'd like to know is the following: For Deaf Schools: · What was taught in your school under vocational education and if you took any of the vocational classes? (No names of schools please) · What kinds of machines were used? · Were adjustments made on equipment to allow for the deaf machine user? If so, what were they? For Public Schools: · What Industrial Arts/Technology Education class did you take? · What concerns needed to be addressed or allowances needed to be made while using equipment in the shop/lab? For everyone: What would you advise or suggest to teachers in making their classrooms accessible to their deaf students? Thanks!
