I'll confess. I'm not deaf. But I can do small talk in sign. I've been out of practice so I may not be as good as I used to be. I'm in Arlington, and I won't mind meeting people.
My mother had learned to sign from the interrupter in church. I like watching them also but right now we don’t have an interpreter. My Uncle interprets but he lives far away from me. I took a sign class in high school once and I have many signing dictionaries and other books. I used to go to something called “Deaf Coffee” where I would meet deaf people and have coffee, but ever since I started college I don’t really have time for that so I haven’t been in a while.
