I'm new to this website. Still trying to get used to the layout. I had someone send me a message but their message disappeared when i tried to reply to it. I managed to reply back though via their username.

Anyhow i thought i might write alittle about myself, because i want to make new friends. Ive been wanting to join a community like this in the past, to be able to relate to others who having hearing problems.

I'm hard of hearing, im completely deaf in my right ear. I have a hearing aid in my other ear which has tinnitus. Without the aid im profoundly deaf.

Ive been hearing impaired all my life, but my hearing got worse later in life.

My hearing has dropped again recently and ive been having problems hearing at work. I had my hearing aid boosted to its limit, but that just made everything else louder. I work in a kitchen as a cook. Which can get quite noisy. My hearing has dropped 3 times over the last 12 years, still do not know cause of it.

I can lip read alittle, and having to do so more at work when i do switch off my aid.


I'm a christian, i dont bible bash or debate religion. I have a dry sense of humour and i guess i can be a little reserved in chat rooms until i get to know everybody.
